Fidan denied information about the US offer to host Maduro in Turkey
Before the kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, the United States did not offer Turkey to accept him on its territory. This was announced on January 9 by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the TRT Haber TV channel.
"As far as we know, the United States offered Maduro to go anywhere in the world. Otherwise, they warned about a military operation," Fidan stressed.
According to him, Turkey has not received offers to accommodate the Venezuelan leader and has not participated in such plans.
Earlier, on January 8, it was reported that the wife of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Celia Flores, was offered to stay in the country after the abduction of the head of state. She refused this offer, choosing to accompany her husband, stressed the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. According to him, Flores showed masculinity.
