The air defense forces shot down eight drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the sky over the regions of Russia

In five hours, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed eight drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the skies over the regions of Russia. This was announced on January 9 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"In the period from 15:00 Moscow time to 20:00 Moscow time, eight Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that five drones were eliminated over the territory of the Lipetsk region, and one more drone was intercepted over the Belgorod, Voronezh and Kursk regions.

Last night, the air defense forces destroyed five Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the regions of the Russian Federation.
