US President Donald Trump has said he is ready to support a bill to tighten sanctions against Russia, but hopes that its application will not be required. He said this on January 8 in an interview with Fox News channel.

"I support that," Trump said.

The bill was drafted in the U.S. Senate.

"I hope we won't have to use it," the US leader stressed.
