Lieutenant Lazarenko defended the assault group from the attack of the AFU FPV drones
Lieutenant Alexey Lazarenko commanded the assault group when the enemy opened fire on them as they approached the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On January 8, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces sent FPV drones to the Russian attack aircraft. Lazarenko got his bearings instantly and shot down three enemy drones with a smoothbore weapon, preventing damage to the assault group. As a result, the task of capturing enemy positions was completed without loss of personnel.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the courage and professionalism of Junior Sergeant Alexander Aliluikin, who commanded the calculation of the Uragan multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).
In the face of intense artillery fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces and attacks by enemy drones, Aliluikin competently changed the position of the MLRS, while continuing to carry out the task and holding the defensive in order to prevent enemy shells from hitting Russian guns and personnel. As a result, the junior sergeant managed to destroy a self-propelled gun and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, on January 7, the Russian Defense Ministry told how Guard Senior Sergeant Nikolai Isaev evacuated a wounded soldier under attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
