By 2028, an ecotrope "Sandpiper Trail — Journey to the Tunguska meteorite" will be built to the site of the Tunguska meteorite fall. This was announced on January 7 by the director of the reserve Lyudmila Logunova.
"It will be a path equipped according to all standards to the epicenter of the fall, where there was a shaft of trees. It is planned that tourists will be transported along the river before the start of the trail," the TASS news agency quoted Logunova as saying.
It is noted that there will be parking lots, recreation areas, as well as route markings on the trail.
The ecotropa will be created for the 120th anniversary of the Tunguska phenomenon.
