- The State Duma proposed to lower the age of obtaining rights to manage agricultural machinery
In Russia, it is necessary to lower the minimum age for obtaining the rights to manage agricultural machinery. This was announced on January 7 by Yulia Ogloblina, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues, United Russia party.
She said that since the rights to operate light machinery are granted from the age of 16, and full—fledged ones only from the age of 18, many college graduates who graduate before they reach adulthood cannot get a job in their specialty, and then go into another field of activity.
"All teachers have noted that they are losing staff. The guys graduate without a license [to control equipment], join the army, and then, unfortunately, they don't return to the profession. Therefore, we are now advocating, of course, to solve this problem. In my opinion, it is necessary to issue [rights] earlier," TASS quoted her as saying.
