Balitsky warned about possible Ukrainian provocations on Christmas Day
In the Zaporozhye region, on the eve of Christmas, the danger of provocations from Kiev remains. This was announced on January 6 by the governor of the region Evgeny Balitsky.
"In churches located at a distance of more than 15 km from the line of contact, festive services will be held only inside churches with a limited number of parishioners," Balitsky said in his Telegram channel.
He also warned that worship services in churches in the 15-kilometer zone from the line of contact will not be held.
The governor clarified that in settlements far from the front, services can be held after the end of the curfew without additional restrictions.
Balitsky assured that the Ministry of Emergency Situations is carrying out preventive measures for the safety of parishioners, and urged residents to remain vigilant to possible terrorist threats.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said in December that the inadequacy of the Christmas speech by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, on December 25 demonstrates at what level and in what emotional state decisions can be made in Kiev.
Irish journalist Chase Bowes reported on December 24 that Zelensky's statements about changing the date of Christmas celebrations in Ukraine indicate that everything is for sale in the country. It was noted that in June 2023, the Ukrainian president signed a decree postponing Christmas from January 7 to December 25. The main pretext was called "abandoning the Russian heritage."
