A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The military personnel of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses and defeated them in the area of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy's losses amounted to over 240 military personnel, two armored combat vehicles, nine vehicles and three artillery pieces, including two Western-made ones. A warehouse of material assets was destroyed.

Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of the mechanized, mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of Orekhov, Kirovo and Novoandreevka of the Zaporizhia region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 50 militants, two armored combat vehicles, four vehicles and a counter-battery radar station. Two warehouses of material assets were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the storage sites of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations in 158 districts.

Air defense systems shot down two guided aerial bombs, two US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 360 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 107929 unmanned aerial vehicles, 643 anti-aircraft missile systems, 26951 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1636 multiple rocket launchers, 32415 field artillery guns and mortars, 50955 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
