Bloomberg has learned about a possible agreement on security guarantees for Ukraine

The United States and the European Union want to agree on plans for security guarantees for Ukraine. This was reported on January 5 by Bloomberg, citing sources.

"After the leaders' meeting, a press conference is expected to be held and a statement may be issued in the coming days if an official agreement is reached," the newspaper notes.

According to the agency, the negotiations in Paris will be aimed at integrating the American proposals into the overall plan. The agreement may provide for the possibility of the presence of US troops in Ukraine after the conclusion of peace, as well as the provision of intelligence data from drones and satellites to monitor the ceasefire.

The meeting will take place after a series of meetings between national security advisers that took place in December. The summit will be attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, other European leaders, as well as NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and NATO military representative Alexus Grinkevich, who also commands American troops in Europe.
