The policy of the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, could end in disaster for the EU countries, as she tries to turn the community into the fourth Reich. This opinion was expressed on January 5 by Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish national Conservative Freedom Alliance party.

"Economically, politically and ideologically, the EU is about to collapse because Ursula is trying to build a fourth Reich, which, in her opinion, is the only way to maintain peace in Europe, delusional and fanatical," he told TASS.

As Mema emphasized, von der Leyen's political course contradicts the very principles of the creation of the EU. The union was founded to support peace, but now the head of the European Commission has begun to rearm Europe and intends to create a powerful army.

"Ursula often claims that Russia is the biggest threat to Europe, but the truth is that she, along with people like [the head of the European Diplomacy] Kaya Kallas and other warmongers pose a real threat to the disintegration of the EU," the politician said.

Currently, he stressed, the EU is trying in vain to inflict a "strategic defeat" on Russia, against which it is losing its own political weight.

On December 27 last year, Mema called for von der Leyen's immediate resignation due to her regular "disregard for EU citizens" and violation of the principles of the rule of law.

On December 19, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special presidential representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, also called on German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Ursula von der Leyen to resign. According to him, they spent all their political capital, promised results and were defeated.
