NYP named the size of the pension of former US President Biden
Former American President Joe Biden receives pension payments of $417,000 due to his long political career. This was reported on January 4 by the New York Post newspaper, citing an analysis by Demian Brady, Vice President of the National Taxpayers Foundation of the United States.
"It's quite unusual, historically it's unusual to have such a large sum. <...> I would say that this is the biggest one," Brady said.
According to the newspaper, the uniqueness of Biden's situation lies in the fact that he was a senator, vice president and president, which allows him to take advantage of a loophole in several pension funds at once. The former president receives lucrative payments and benefits established by the Former Presidents Act of 1958, as well as funds from the Civil Servants Retirement System (CSRS) for former senators.
In addition, the publication emphasized that the pension of the former president of the United States exceeds his annual salary during his presidency.
On December 5, 2025, NYP reported on Biden's reservation, which caused confusion among viewers. The American ex-president spoke at a conference in Washington and called the United States "the United States of America." So, the 83-year-old politician, delivering a speech in an emotional tone, combined the words "America" and the English expression got it (understood?).
