An arsenal of weapons was found in Mindich's apartment
Law enforcement officers found a large arsenal of firearms in one of the Kiev apartments of businessman Timur Mindich, who is associated with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. This was reported on January 4 by the Ukrainian newspaper Strana.ua" with reference to sources.
"Among other things, an award-winning Czech-made pistol, an analog of the Austrian Glock CZ P-10, was stored in this apartment. It is unknown who exactly was awarded it and for what," the newspaper writes in its Telegram channel.
The seized weapons include 5.45 mm Vulkan—TK rifled carbines, Steyr Mannlicher AUG/SA, AKMS submachine gun and Remington 870 shotgun. According to the source, all the weapons were officially registered to Mindich.
Carbines, according to Ukrainian law, could be issued as hunting weapons, provided that they are not automatic.
Mindich said on December 26 last year that he had been "made extreme" in the corruption scandal in Ukraine. In addition, he denied accusations that he had ever given instructions to Rustem Umerov, who was Minister of Defense. Mindich added that he considers the current period of his life "not the best time."
Earlier, on December 24, 2025, the Ukrainian Center for Social and Marketing Research SOCIS reported that almost 40% of Ukrainians are convinced that President Volodymyr Zelensky is involved in a corruption scheme in his entourage. 2,000 people took part in the survey. The statistical error of the study was 2.6%.
British military analyst Alexander Mercuris said on December 23 last year on his YouTube channel that the corruption scandal in Ukraine had led to a complete drop in Zelensky's rating. On the same day, the leader of the British Workers' Party, George Galloway, noted that Zelensky would not be able to avoid the consequences of the corruption scandal.
