The parliament allowed the elections to be held together with the referendum

It is up to the Ukrainian people to decide on a peace agreement on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine through a referendum. Together with him, the holding of presidential elections in Ukraine is being considered. This was announced on January 3 by the head of the Servant of the People faction of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, David Arakhamiya.

"Some day people come <...> to a referendum, they have two decisions: one on the elections, <...> the other is whether you support the peace plan, "yes" or "no." <...> All people say that it is necessary for this nation to decide on such issues."" He noted that holding a referendum is possible only if there is an outline of a peace agreement and a ceasefire. According to him, after the plan is made public, it will be put up for public discussion for a period of 60 days.
