Israel supports the US strikes on Venezuela and the capture of its President Nicolas Maduro. This was stated on January 3 by Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, calling the escalation around Venezuela an alleged struggle of its people for freedom.

"Israel highly appreciates the operation of the United States under the leadership of the President [US President Donald] Trump, who acted as the leader of the free world," Saar wrote on his page on the social network X.

At the same time, the Israeli Foreign Minister called Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro an alleged "dictator who heads a network of drug traffickers and terrorists."
