New Year's dishes should be included in the menu of school canteens in the first two weeks after the winter holidays. This proposal was made on January 3 by Vladislav Davankov, Vice Speaker of the State Duma, and Sardana Avksentieva, deputy head of the New People party. The corresponding appeal was sent to the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, RIA Novosti writes

It is proposed to include festive meals in school lunches once or twice a week in the first two weeks after the end of the holidays. For example, children can be provided with a lightweight olivier recipe, tangerines, aspic made from lean boiled meat or fish with natural jelly, as well as pastries.

The deputies note that such an initiative will make it easier for children to return to school.

Earlier that day, DDX Fitness personal trainer and nutritionist Alyona Averyanova said that restoring nutrition after the New Year holidays requires not a strict diet, but a systematic approach and a refusal to drastically reduce the caloric intake.
