The number of pizza orders near the Pentagon in the United States has increased. This became known on January 3 after studying the information of the Pentagon Pizza Index portal.

The growth of the Pentagon Pizza Index or PizzINT, as noted by social media users, allegedly coincides with an increase in activity inside the Pentagon. There is a five—point scale: five points when the situation is normal, up to one point - the maximum level of readiness.

Fox News reported on October 5, 2025, that the head of the US Department of War, Pete Hegseth, commented on a popular meme about the increase in pizza orders at the Pentagon, noting that he provides his subordinates with provisions. According to him, such orders help officials and military personnel receive meals during work delays and at the same time create a comic effect on social networks.
