- The Ombudsman of the Kherson region told the details of the terrorist attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Khorly
During the terrorist attack in Khorlakh, the strike of the last drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was aimed at people who were trying to escape from the fire. The first drone detonated after arriving at the exit area, the second hit the building. This was announced on January 2 by the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Kherson region Sergey Georgiev, citing eyewitnesses.
"The central exit caught fire and it was no longer possible to use it. Then there was a flight through the building itself, to where there was the largest crowd of people, and as a result, the drone arrived at a time when the first wounded were being evacuated through the back door and windows," the ombudsman said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He noted that the last strike of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was aimed at finishing off the victims.
Georgiev also said that the first explosion occurred before the New Year, while the rest occurred after midnight. It is specified that eyewitnesses call different intervals between explosions — from one to several minutes. The Ombudsman attributes the difference in readings to the peculiarities of the human psyche, which can evaluate the passage of time in different ways under stress.
On January 1, the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, announced the attack of three drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a cafe and a hotel in the village of Khorly. The victims of the attack were 28 people, including two children. A criminal case has been opened into the terrorist attack.
On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin heard a report from Balance on the situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike and on the progress of investigative actions. Later, he agreed that the crime was similar to the burning of people in Odessa on May 2, 2014.
On January 2, the press service of the Balance informed Izvestia that a child who was injured during an attack by three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The APU for the cafe and hotel in Khorly should be transported to Moscow from Simferopol by the sanaviation.
