The US State Department has updated its recommendation to its citizens to refrain from traveling to Russia, Fox News channel reported on January 2.
"This week, the existing recommendation was reissued without changes. <...> U.S. citizens staying in Russia should leave the country immediately," the article says.
The report also notes that the capabilities of American diplomats to assist fellow citizens are limited due to staff cuts.
