The only sphere in Russia with an average salary of more than 400 thousand rubles has been named.

The average salary in Russia in October exceeded 400,000 rubles in the reinsurance sector alone. This was reported on January 2 by RIA Novosti.

According to the agency's calculations, the average income of employees in the reinsurance industry reached 439.6 thousand rubles in October. Employees of holding companies were significantly lower, but also among the leaders in terms of wages — their average salary was 322.4 thousand rubles. This is followed by investment fund managers with an income of 257.8 thousand rubles, employees of non—governmental pension funds — 256 thousand rubles, as well as those employed in the fishing industry - 251.9 thousand rubles.

The top ten industries with the highest salaries also included software publishers, where they earned an average of 244 thousand rubles, and software developers with an average of 223.5 thousand rubles. A similar income level was recorded for employees of the gas industry — 223.1 thousand rubles. In passenger air transportation, the average salary was 221 thousand rubles, and in a number of companies engaged in financial intermediation — 213.9 thousand rubles.

At the same time, the statistics take into account the average monthly accrued salary before taxes are withheld. The calculation includes bonuses and incomes of all employees of organizations, including employees with very high salaries, which may affect the totals.

The expert explained that the increase in employer activity is associated with the end of the holiday season and the beginning of a new business cycle.
