Denis Kapustin, the founder of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK, an organization recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia) (listed in the Russian Federation as an extremist and terrorist), who was previously sentenced to life imprisonment in absentia, has been re-wanted. This became known on January 2 after studying the search database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"The basis for the search: wanted under the article of the Criminal Code. <...> He has been redeclared," TASS quotes the wanted man's card in the database of the Russian Interior Ministry.

As specified in law enforcement agencies, Kapustin has been re-declared wanted in the framework of a new criminal case, which is currently being considered in the 2nd Western District Military Court, the details have not been disclosed.

On December 27, RDK reported that Kapustin had been eliminated in the Zaporozhye area. It was previously reported that this happened during an FPV drone attack. On January 1, the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of Ukraine reported on the staged murder of the commander of the Red Army.

Earlier, on November 14, the court sentenced Kapustin and actor Kirill Kanakhin to life imprisonment in absentia. It was noted that Kapustin also has to pay a fine of 2 million 500 thousand rubles. In addition, he is banned from website administration for four years. The convicted person will first have to spend eight years in a penal colony, and then be under a special regime.

Kanakhin was fined 2 million rubles and banned from website administration for four years. He will also spend the first eight years in a penal colony, followed by a special regime. The same measures have been taken against two other defendants, Alexei Ogurtsov and Anton Zyryanov (listed as extremists and terrorists in the Russian Federation).
