The State Duma told about the reimbursement of missed indexations to pensioners after dismissal

Working pensioners who missed pension indexation from 2016 to 2024 will receive a raise after their dismissal. This was announced on January 2 by Yaroslav Nilov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.

"If a working pensioner received a pension that was not indexed until 2025, then if he leaves, it will be indexed," he said in an interview with TASS.

In addition, according to Nilov, non-working pensioners are entitled to an additional payment up to the subsistence level if their pension is lower than this indicator. If the pensioner was working, such an additional payment was not paid, but after dismissal it will be restored.

The MP also noted that every year on August 1, all working pensioners have their pensions recalculated upward due to additional pension points earned over the previous year. At the same time, the maximum number of points for working pensioners is limited to three per year.

According to Nilov, such a rule is unfair, since in general, citizens can earn up to 10 insurance pension points during the year.
