Skiers rescued a girl trapped in an avalanche in Sochi
Skiers at a ski resort in Sochi rescued a 10-year-old girl Violetta, who was overwhelmed by an avalanche. Alexander Kasimov, the child's father, told Izvestia about this in an interview on January 1.
According to him, he was riding with his daughter when he saw an impending mass of snow. The girl was trapped under the rubble, and all the skiers on the slope joined the search.
"Everyone who was on the mountain participated in the search," Kasimov stressed.
About 20 minutes later, Violetta was found by one of the skiers, probing the snow with sticks. She was diagnosed with a concussion, bruises and sprains, after which she was sent to the Sochi hospital for treatment.
The girl herself said that she was afraid of lack of air under the snow.
The fact that the girl was covered with a layer of snow at a ski resort in Sochi became known the day before. It is noted that the father and eyewitnesses promptly connected other vacationers to the rescue.
