Italian coach Enzo Maresca has resigned as head coach of Chelsea football Club. This was announced on January 1 by the official website of the London club on the website.

"With the team still facing key challenges in four tournaments (including Champions League qualification), Enzo and the club believe that a change of coach will give the team the best chance to get the season back on track," the statement said.
