Drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) continue to fly over the Villages of the Kherson region, where 24 people were killed due to the impact of three Ukrainian drones on a cafe. This was announced on January 1 in an interview with TASS by the press secretary of the governor of the region, Vladimir Vasilenko.

"Enemy reconnaissance drones continue to operate in Khorlakh," he noted.

According to the press secretary, at the moment there is a threat of a new raid, which poses a danger to emergency workers, as well as doctors.

Another 50 people were injured, 6 of them are in serious condition.

The governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, reported earlier that day that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had attacked a cafe and a hotel in Khorlakh with three drones, killing 24 people and injuring more than 50 others. At the moment, 29 people have been hospitalized, including children born in 2008, 2012, 2018, and 2019. Six victims, including children, are in serious condition. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has also opened a criminal case under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act").

The governor of the region also noted that the special services of the United Kingdom and the European Union (EU) may be involved in the attack on the cafe and the hotel. Saldo stressed that the night attack shows the terrorist nature of the Kiev regime.
