The Air Defense forces destroyed one unmanned aerial vehicle that was heading towards Moscow. This was announced on December 31 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"The air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense destroyed one UAV flying to Moscow. Emergency services specialists are working at the crash site," he said in a statement on Twitter.
