In the UK, a cat that disappeared five years ago was found before Christmas
In the UK, a cat named Bindi, who disappeared in 2020, returned home before Christmas. This was reported on December 30 by the British television channel BBC.
The owner of the pet, Jilly Fretwell, searched for a pet for a year after the disappearance, but then lost hope. However, five years later, the woman suddenly received a call from the veterinary clinic, saying that Bindi was being treated by doctors.
It turned out that a random passerby saw the cat on the street and took her to the doctors. The animal was chipped, and thanks to the data on the electronic media, the veterinary clinic was able to contact the owner.
The veterinarians found only a few scratches on Bindi. Otherwise, she looks healthy and well-groomed. As the 29-year-old Fretwell suggested, someone was taking care of her pet all this time.
As Victoria Romanovskaya, a veterinarian and expert at the Triol brand, told Izvestia on October 10, when a pet gets lost, it can be a real test for the owner, who is overcome by panic and anxiety. The expert gave some tips that can help find the missing family member faster. Romanovskaya said that there is a high probability of finding a hiding animal somewhere nearby, so the more quickly the owner organizes the search, the higher the chances of a successful outcome.
