Members of the Batalhajin group abducted people and appropriated their real estate
Members of the group "Vird followers of the Batal-Hadji Belkhoroev movement" (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) abducted Muscovites and illegally appropriated their real estate. This was announced on December 30 by a source of Izvestia.
It is reported that storage facilities with Kalashnikov assault rifles and explosives were found in the places of residence of the accused in Ingushetia and Moscow.
According to the source, the organizer of the kidnappings, Yakub Mutsolgov, was detained in October 2024, and his accomplice Ruslan Mutsolgov, who was wanted for the murder of a businessman, was arrested a year later in Moscow with forged documents.
Alikhan Ozdoev, a defendant in the murder case of Ibragim Eljarkiev, head of the Center for Combating Extremism in Ingushetia, and his brother, acted with them. Law enforcement officers are checking the group's involvement in at least ten episodes of illegal seizure of real estate involving murders.
On the same day, members of Belkhoroev's group were detained in Moscow, Ingushetia and Chechnya. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the North Caucasus Federal District has opened a criminal case on this fact under Part 4 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal storage of explosives and explosive devices"). All the seized items were sent for forensic examination.
A source from Izvestia reported on June 18 that the Estamirov clan, associated with the Batal-Hadji sect, had been searched. Members of the clan are suspected of financing members of a terrorist organization. Khamzat Estamirov, Mikail Khachubarov, Ibrahim Estamirov, Abdul-Mazhit Albogachiev and Abu Estamirov were under suspicion.
On March 12, law enforcement agencies in Russia uncovered a weapons smuggling channel linked to the Batal-Hajji sect. According to the Izvestia source, some of these weapons were used by terrorists to attack the Crocus City Hall concert hall. Law enforcement agencies detained several suspects, including brothers Magomed and Salam Tumgoev, as well as Bilal Torshkhoev. According to investigators, they transported Glock pistols to Ingushetia in electrical appliances, parts of which were found in hiding places.
