The mineral resource base of Siberia has been studied by 40%, and the Far East by 30%. This was announced on December 30 by the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, Alexander Kozlov.

"Siberia and the Far East are famous for their mineral deposits. Their study is an important issue for us. We can now see that Siberia has been studied by 40%, and the Far East by 30%. We set ourselves (the goal - Ed.) so that by 2030 the study of these two territories would be at least 65%," Kozlov said in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

He also said that in 2025, more than 30 new hydrocarbon deposits were discovered in Russia. According to him, gold is in demand today, but chemicals are used to extract it, which imposes certain environmental requirements on specialized enterprises.

"I can tell you that more than 30 hydrocarbon fields have been discovered this year. 250, if I'm not mistaken, deposits of solid minerals. Of these, more than 200, about 210 are gold," the minister said.

Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev said on the sidelines of the EnergySpace International Energy Forum on December 9 that Russia has already secured 70% of critical technologies for the fuel and energy complex, and the remaining 30% will be finalized within two to three years. He stressed that Russian technologies successfully compete with foreign ones in international tenders for oil and gas production, often offering more cost-effective solutions.
