Deputy Mayor Sergunina summed up the results of the Pets in Moscow project
In 2025, as part of the Pets in Moscow project, 25 modern dog walking and training spaces were opened in the capital. They appeared in 23 districts of the city, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.
"Since 2021, thanks to the project, 104 sites have been opened in 77 districts of Moscow. Among them there are large dog parks where national and international competitions can be held. The total area of landscaping exceeds 100 thousand square meters," Sergunina said.
The concept of new spaces for walking dogs was developed with the participation of the Russian Cynological Federation. It takes into account such parameters as aesthetics, comfort, quality, environmental safety and functionality. Meetings with veterinarians and dog demonstrations with dog handlers are organized at the sites, competitions and master classes are held.
Last year, residents of the capital chose the symbol of the Pets in Moscow project. It became laika Mosik. The author of the sketch said that the created image embodies dedication and reliability. The colors of the image reflect the symbols of the capital, so it should fit seamlessly into the urban environment. The Mosik husky will appear in information materials, on badges and banners, in social networks and city services.
Sergunina recalled that the Pets in Moscow project is being implemented under the My District program of the mayor of the capital, aimed at creating comfortable living conditions in the city — from cozy courtyards and parks to modern infrastructure facilities near the house.
