The Moskvich 8 crossover set a sales record in Russia in November 2025. This was reported on December 30 by the Telegram channel of the Chinese Cars portal with reference to data from Autostat Info.
So, in the last month of autumn, sales of Moskvich 8 amounted to 148 copies. This is almost twice as much as the Moskvich 6 liftbacks were sold, which previously ranked second in terms of sales after the Moskvich 3 crossovers.
Moskvich Automobile Plant announced the launch of sales of the model with the index 8 in July. However, until November, as noted in the note, only 35 such machines were registered.
The Moskvich 8 is presented in three trim levels, the basic version of the model was estimated at 2.98 million rubles. At the average performance level, the crossover costs from 3.21 million rubles, and at the maximum — from 3.37 million rubles.
The length of the crossover is 4,825 mm with a wheelbase of 2,830 mm, the interior layout is three-row. The Moskvich 8 is equipped with a non-alternative 1.5 petrol turbo engine with a capacity of 174 hp (280 Nm) in combination with a seven-speed robotic dual-clutch transmission, front-wheel drive only.
Earlier, on November 25, it was reported that the Moskvich automobile plant would begin selling cars from the new M-line in early spring 2026. The Moskvich M70 is planned to be equipped with an all-wheel drive system, but at the start of sales the model will have only front-wheel drive. All exterior body panels of the M70 and M90 vehicles are galvanized.
