On December 30, the head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, congratulated law enforcement officers on the upcoming New Year, noting their work to ensure security and high results in the fight against crime.

"Last year, law enforcement officers carried out a lot of work to ensure law and order, including during large-scale events to mark the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the past international economic forums. Positive results have been achieved in the fight against crime," Irina Volk, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, quotes the minister in her Telegram channel.

Kolokoltsev also noted the steadily improving quality of public services provided by the department and separately expressed gratitude to colleagues who will celebrate the holiday at their official post. The head of the department wished his colleagues health, well-being and success.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at the informal CIS summit on December 22, congratulated the leaders of the CIS member states on the upcoming New Year. He wished his colleagues, as well as the citizens of their countries, happiness, peace and prosperity in 2026.
