The State Duma announced plans to provide free HPV vaccination for Russians
The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine may be included in the national vaccination calendar in 2027, and it will be free for citizens. This was announced on December 30 by the head of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, Sergei Leonov.
"In 2027, it is planned to add the human papillomavirus vaccine to the calendar. This is a fairly important element of the vaccination calendar," Leonov said in an interview with TASS.
He added that this initiative would require additional expenditures from the state budget. The parliamentarian noted that when considering the budget for 2027 and subsequent years, it is necessary to take into account the costs of introducing this vaccine into the vaccination calendar and determine the appropriate amounts for financing.
