In the coming year, the Russian Post, a state-owned public postal operator, will be able to sell medicines and medicines in localities where there are no medical organizations and pharmacies. This was announced on December 29 by the head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko.
"On medicines, this document is currently under development, and I think we will launch this process in 2026," he said in an interview with Rossiya 1 TV channel.
According to him, currently 40 thousand medical and obstetric stations throughout the country are selling medicines, and the Russian Post already has the right to sell medical products. Murashko stressed that in this "absolute" and "necessary" issue for the country, a system for maintaining the quality of medicines is very important.
