A fire has been localized in the Smolensk region, which occurred as a result of depressurization of the main gas pipeline section under repair. This was announced on December 29 by the governor of the region Vasily Anokhin.
"Tonight, in the area of the Krasnaya Gorka settlement of the Krasninsky district <...>, the fire was promptly localized," the Telegram channel said.
According to Anokhin, there are no casualties. Currently, specialists are carrying out restoration work.
On the same day, the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case into the deaths of four people during a fire in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. A fire in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky was reported earlier in the day. 12 people and three units of fire fighting equipment were sent to the site.
