On December 29, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, First Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, Army General Valery Gerasimov said that in December, the Russian military took control of 32 settlements, and 334 were taken over the year.\
As Gerasimov pointed out, there is a successful advance deep into the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, Ukraine is not taking active offensive actions.
