Two people were killed and two injured in a car collision in the Lipetsk region.

In the Khleven district of the Lipetsk region, as a result of a car collision, two people were killed and two injured. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

The accident occurred on Monday afternoon, December 29, on the Khlevnoye– Lipetsk highway. Hyundai and Daewoo Matiz passenger cars collided.

According to GOROD48, a 46-year-old Hyundai passenger and a 42-year-old Daewoo driver died on the spot. The 53-year-old driver of a Korean foreign car and his second passenger, aged 16, were taken to the hospital with various injuries.

A check has been organized on the fact of a fatal accident. All the circumstances of the incident are being established.

Earlier in the day, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Russian Interior Ministry told Izvestia that 508 road accidents occurred on the country's roads in the last weekend of 2025, resulting in 80 deaths and 667 injuries. Among the dead, 71 people were drivers and passengers.
