American billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk has changed his mind about creating his own political party due to pressure from US Vice President Jay Dee Vance. This was stated in The Washington Post (WP) on December 29.

"Vance has already addressed Musk directly. This time, he called on Musk's allies to put pressure on him to abandon plans to nominate his candidacy from a third party," the article says.

It is noted that Vance decided to influence Musk because of fears of losing his majority in the upcoming 2026 midterm elections. The negative public reaction to Musk's radical campaign to cut government spending and public attacks on US President Donald Trump have also damaged relations between the American leader and the billionaire.

Musk said on December 28 that in the future, the United States could turn into a country with a one-party system without democracy due to radical leftist politicians who use programs to import large numbers of migrants into the country. The entrepreneur noted that a similar situation is developing in other Western countries — Great Britain, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, as well as in the European Union (EU) countries.
