In Yakutia, the implementation of the large logistics project "Eastern Meridian" will begin in 2026. It is planned to build a road from Topolinoe to Naiba.

This year, extended winter shelters will be built on the section from Batagai to Topolinoye, writes IA YakutiaMedia with reference to the Minister of Transport of the republic Vladimir Sivtsev. An extended winter road will be built from Verkhoyansk to the village of Bala in the spring, and a year later it is planned to make a year-round highway to Yunkur. This requires investments, but in the meantime, work will be carried out on the Roads of the Arctic, Sivtsev noted.

The agency clarifies that the Eastern Meridian project is a key infrastructure initiative that promotes the development of promising fields. It is aimed at increasing the profitability of the region's raw materials projects and optimizing the cargo delivery scheme.

Thanks to the project, the volume of cargo and passenger traffic should increase, the cost of goods and services should decrease, and new jobs will appear. In addition, due to the new scheme of the Northern order, it will be possible to save budget funds.

The project is planned to be implemented in two stages. At the first stage, from 2024 to 2030, extended—range winter roads will be equipped, and at the second stage, from 2031 to 2051, year-round roads will be built.

Earlier it was reported that construction of a bridge across the Lena River is in full swing in Yakutia. The first protective structure was installed this year. In 2026, it is planned to install two more similar structures, erect the supports and superstructures of the overpass and begin work in the riverbed.
