New Editor-in-chief of Vechernyaya Moskva newspaper appointed
Alexander Valentinovich Sharnaud Sharnaud (creative pseudonym Alexander Charno) will become the new editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Evening Moscow" from January 1, 2026.
Alexander Valentinovich has been working at the publication since the fall of 2011. He was Deputy editor—in-chief, head of the issue group of the newspaper Vechernyaya Moskva, and since 2019 he has been the first deputy editor-in-chief. And since October 2025, after the sudden death of editor-in-chief Alexander Kupriyanov, he has been acting as editor-in-chief of the newspaper Vechernyaya Moskva.

Alexander Valentinovich Sharnaud Sharnaud was born on July 9, 1970. In 1990, he graduated from the Faculty for Foreign Citizens of the National Autonomous University of Mexico City. In 1996, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University. In his third year, he was accepted into the staff of the Moscow City Council newspaper "Chimes" as a correspondent for the news department.
