An attacker stabbed three women in the Paris metro. This was reported by the newspaper Le Parisien on December 26.

"The attacks took place this Friday between 4:15 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. (6:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. — Ed.) at the metro stations République, Arts et Métiers and Opéra. The victims were promptly treated," the report says.

According to the police, the victims received minor injuries. Including one of them in the hip and back. A pregnant girl was also among the victims of the attack.

After the attack, the suspect disappeared on the 8th metro line, but his identity was identified by cameras and law enforcement officers were able to detain the criminal.

"According to a police source, the theory of terrorism has been ruled out. It seems that this is the work of a mentally unstable person, or at least a person with a fragile mental state," the newspaper noted.

Earlier, on September 10, a man armed with a knife attacked students at a lyceum in Antibes in southern France, and at least two people were injured. It is noted that the attacker is a former student of the institution, he was detained.

Before that, on June 7, in Germany, a woman with a knife attacked passers-by in Munich, several people were injured. It is specified that police officers shot at the attacker during the arrest. She died in hospital as a result of her injuries.
