The weather forecaster told about the weather in the regions of Russia for the New Year

Cold air will cover most of Russia at the end of December, while weather conditions in the regions will vary markedly. This was reported to Izvestia on December 27 by Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency.

According to her, in the European part of the country, the cold snap will also affect the southern regions. Rainy weather with relatively low temperatures will continue in the south and on the Black Sea coast. In Sochi, on the night of December 31, it is expected to be about +7 degrees, in the afternoon — up to +9, but then the temperature will begin to drop to +3 ...+5 at night and +7 ...+8 in the afternoon.

In the Urals, New Year's Eve will be held with frosts. In Yekaterinburg, on the night of December 31, it is forecast to reach -22 degrees, in the afternoon — about -10 degrees. From January 1, snow and gradual warming are expected under the influence of the cyclone, which will last until January 3, after which the temperature will begin to drop again.

The most severe frosts are expected in Yakutia. According to the forecaster, the influence of a powerful anticyclone will lead to a decrease in temperature on the night of January 1 to -50 degrees. However, a gradual increase in temperatures is predicted as early as January 2-3.
