An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 was recorded off the coast of the Japanese island of Hokkaido. This was reported on December 26 on the website of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

It is noted that the earthquake was located at a depth of 62 km, and was located 111 km northeast of the city of Hachinohe with a population of 239 thousand people.

On December 8, an earthquake of magnitude 5.1 was recorded in the area of the Turkish province of Antalya. The epicenter of the tremors was located about 15 km northeast of Antalya with a population of 758 thousand people
