200 thousand spectators will visit the Kremlin New Year tree.

This year, the performance "Cherished Chimes" will be shown on the Kremlin New Year's Tree. 200 thousand spectators will watch the unique performance on the stage of the Great Hall of the State Kremlin Palace. A total of 38 Christmas tree displays are planned in December and January.

"Every year, the Kremlin New Year Tree is an exclusive product, because the script is written based on competitive ideas. This year we had three winning ideas, they were very similar, mainly about the Spasskaya Tower and the Kremlin Chimes. As a result, an interesting scenario of the "Cherished Chimes" performance was born. Our tale is about dreams that run through your whole life, about the bright and kind. I would like to note that the Kremlin New Year's Tree is not only a performance, but also a large animation program that runs at several venues. Guests attend master classes and participate in the carnival, meet fairy-tale characters, and write their cherished wishes on the pages of the Santa Claus New Year's Wishes Book. And, of course, together with Santa Claus, they light the lights on the New Year tree," said Natalia Sviridova, Deputy chairman of the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions.

Work on the installation of the Kremlin New Year tree went on throughout the year.

"The preparation of such a large—scale project is a year-round process. After summing up the results of the New Year's campaign in January, the plot of a new fairy tale began to be developed. The Moscow Federation of Trade Unions has announced a script competition. Since September, when the commission approved the script, costume tailoring, music writing and casting for the roles of the characters have started, and rehearsals have been underway since October," Sviridova said.

The "Cherished Chimes" performance will start at 10:30, 14:00 and 18:00 every day except January 1. The Patriarch's Christmas Tree will complete the cycle.

The Kremlin New Year's Tree is organized by the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions with the support of the Moscow Government and the Office of the President of the Russian Federation.
