The Russian military eliminated the commander of a motorized infantry platoon of the 22nd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) during a special military operation in the Kharkiv region, a source in Russian law enforcement agencies reported on December 26.

It is noted that this happened in the area of the village of Udy, where the platoon strongpoint of the Ukrainian 22nd separate mechanized brigade was destroyed.

"Heavy losses among the personnel have been confirmed. In addition, the commander of a motorized infantry platoon with the rank of second lieutenant was eliminated," RIA Novosti quoted the source as saying.
