Roskachestvo revealed excess of carcinogens in Chinese tires

Roskachestvo specialists examined car tires and found an excess of dangerous carcinogens in Chinese-made products, while all tested Russian tires complied with GOST and were recognized as safe. This was reported on December 26 on the agency's website.

The experts examined 10 tire models according to the key indicator of GOST — the proportion of hydrogen in the Bay area (% HBay). A concentration of no more than 0.25% is considered safe. Russian models — Cordiant Snow Cross, Pirelli Scorpion Ice Zero 2, Ikon tyres Autograph Aqua 3 SUV and Kama NU-301, showed safe levels.
