A bust of Mikhail Gudkov, twice Hero of Russia, has been unveiled in Mariupol.
A bust of twice Hero of Russia Major General Mikhail Evgenievich Gudkov was unveiled at the Nakhimov branch of the Naval Order of Honor of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in Mariupol. This was announced on December 26 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The ceremony was led by Lieutenant General Sukhrab Akhmedov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Navy. The event was attended by representatives of the command, pupils of the college, the city administration, the delegation of St. Petersburg in Mariupol, Mikhail Gudkov's colleagues and veterans of the Navy.
It was noted that the opening of the bust on the territory of the Nakhimov College branch symbolizes courage, valor and dedication to serving the Fatherland, being a significant event for the students and staff of the school.
Earlier, on December 10, it was reported that busts of Corporal Ivan Kokovin and the son of the deputy director of the CIA, Michael Gloss, who died in the SVR zone and were posthumously awarded the Orders of Courage, were unveiled at school No. 115 in Donetsk. It is noted that Michael Gloss is an American who showed dedication and perseverance in battle, helped a wounded comrade near Chasyar.
