The Russian Foreign Ministry urges Russian citizens to refrain from traveling to Germany unless absolutely necessary. This was announced on December 25 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
On November 5, the German Embassy announced that in order to enter Germany, Russian citizens will need to have a biometric passport starting from January 1, 2026. It was clarified that it would not be possible to obtain a visa and enter the territory of the state, as well as extend your stay with a non-biometric passport after January 1 next year.
