According to the decision of Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, all Moscow city services will be on duty around the clock during the New Year holidays, from December 31 to January 11 next year. The issue of their working hours during the festive period was considered at a meeting of the presidium of the government of the capital, the portal reports. mos.ru .
"About 1.5 thousand personnel of fire and rescue units, emergency recovery teams of engineering companies and prefectures of administrative districts can take part in the elimination of possible incidents," the material says. "Emergency and field teams are equipped with materials and equipment to carry out the necessary work."
The necessary number of specialized road-cleaning and motor vehicles, as well as manual crews, will be deployed on the roads for rapid cleaning. Special attention will be paid to cleaning those locations where mass events are held, primarily winter recreation facilities and pedestrian zones.
To help motorists on dangerous sections of roads, primarily on the MKAD, more than four dozen tractors will be on duty around the clock.
Crews have also been formed to clean 11.1 thousand pitched roofs of residential buildings and non-residential buildings. More than 50 stationary snow-melting points have been set up for snow disposal.
In case of need to eliminate the consequences of possible emergencies in Moscow, "a group of forces and means of permanent readiness has been formed consisting of 450 units of fire-rescue and specialized equipment, seven helicopters, snowmobiles and 1,590 personnel," according to a statement on the capital's portal.
