Russian operators of set-up drones, which perform the function of air defense, shoot down enemy drones, including the Ukrainian Baba Yaga, in the Kramatorsk-Druzhkovsky area of their territory. On December 24, in an interview with Izvestia military correspondent Egor Kildibekov, the head of the air defense of the 1442nd motorized Rifle Regiment of the 6th Motorized Rifle Division of the 3rd Army Corps of the Southern Group of Forces with the call sign Aquarius told.

"We have developed a theme — grid meters. A device is installed on the quadcopter that resets the network. To date, 2,601 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been shot down in a year and a half," he said.

According to Aquarius, the target of hunter drones are enemy scouts, spotters, "dumpers", "Baba Yaga".

"Before departure, the pilot does not know what task he will perform. His task is to destroy an aerial target. It doesn't matter which one you get," said the Russian fighter.

He stressed that over the past two days, two Ukrainian FPV drones mining the road had been shot down. Aquarius added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants are trying to shoot down the rocket launchers and consider them a priority target.

"They are trying to ram and shoot down. Because of the statistics... If you transfer it to money, it's about $8 million in damage we caused them," Aquarius added.

Answering the military commander's question about how an extremely small "bird" can be seen in the sky, the Russian fighter noted that it was all about the professionalism and perfect training of his colleagues.

Earlier, on December 21, the operators of the troops of the unmanned systems (UAVs) of the Vostok group of forces destroyed heavy hexacopters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over Gulyai-Pole in the Zaporizhia region. In the area of this settlement, Russian UAV operators have reduced the effectiveness of the enemy's unmanned front.
