The Kremlin said there were no plans for a conversation between Putin and Trump.
Currently, there are no plans for a conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump. This was announced on December 24 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"It's not planned yet, no," Peskov replied to an appropriate question from Interfax.
The press secretary of the Russian president already noted on December 21 that Putin's telephone conversation with Trump was not scheduled until the end of the year. He also noted that the public would be informed if Putin wished Trump a Merry Christmas.
Peskov said on December 16 that the last telephone conversation between the Russian leader and Trump had taken place relatively recently. He added that to clarify the specific date, it is necessary to refer to the last official message about the telephone conversation. At the same time, the American leader said that he had recently spoken with the Russian leader.
